My parents asked me today what I wanted to do for my birthday, what kind of cake I wanted, what kind of presents I wanted... and by the end of the day I knew what all these things would be.

All the surprise is gone, so I suppose I might as well not have a birthday.

What I want is someone besides family with whom to celebrate, for once.

Someone needs a birthday hug. And in light of the fact that willing birthday hug-givers have a small distance problem, a birthday mix shall have to suffice.
