...I seem to recall that somebody a few years ago claimed that toxoplasmosis infection was responsible for nearly all mental illness, and the story supported this with anecdotes about how various well-known crazy people had cats. Beware any claim that gigantic walloping collections of illnesses all have the same simple cause.
