I think I forgot to mention what happened during my last day in New Orleans.  The last day tends not to go to waste.

After having my peanut butter burger at Yo Mama's, and getting lost in the less-rebuilt parts of the French Quarter, I found myself back downtown.

I noticed outside the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company that there were these chalk drawings, seemingly random.  I saw a triangle and some dots and remarked that it looked like Asteroids, and one of the waiters was standing outside and said that it was.  He had also drawn scenes from the Atari 2600 games Combat and Boxing.  He said that one day, he would draw the entire World 1-1 from Super Mario Bros down the sidewalk there.

I really should have given him my contact information so that he could send me the photos when he did it.  Now I'll just have to count on them being posted to Digg or making the rounds.

Where have I seen that guy before, who seemed to know Ronin from before his planet got wraithed?

On Stargate, we've seen all manner of strange cameos.  Isaac Hayes and Wayne Brady as Jaffa?  Fred Willard?  The guy who mistranslated everything before Daniel Jackson showed up in the original Stargate movie?

Now... it's the Chairman from Iron Chef America.

I'm fully expecting Joel McHale to show up next. Or Danny Bonaduce.

This afternoon I did some more packing.  I have all my DVD's, CD's, and VHS tapes boxed up now.  I threw away some of those VHS tapes, particularly all those episodes of French in Action and Destinos.  After all, I can get them all online anyway, and it's not like anyone else wants them.

After that, I finally caught a few episodes of Scooby Who on BBC America.  Not bad, but I'm not sold on it.
