(no subject)

I didn't know until I read my little Clean Elections Commision book that I get to vote for State Mine Inspector.

Unfortunately, that debate is being held in a high school in Tombstone and will not, to my knowledge, be televised. Too bad; I'm curious as to what such a debate would be like.

Weird ingredient day.

So I noticed some weird things in the supermarket today.... notably, jalapeño jelly.

I wonder if it would go well with soybean butter for a sort of Asian PB&J, but then I remembered jalapeños are more Mexican than Asian; the Asian food I've had favors bell peppers. And, truth be told, I don't much care for jalapeños.

But then, I have this jar of soybean butter I impulse-bought from Trader Joe's a few days back... maybe I could combine the two weird ingredients in a sandwich for an Asian-style peanut butter and jelly kind of thing.

Of course, that has a significant chance of being totally vile, and I'd hate to throw away TWO nearly-full jars of stuff, so I didn't buy it.

So I'm seeking advice on what else I can do with either of these.
