(no subject)

I was reading an interactive Go tutorial, and near the middle I found my favorite line on the whole site:

"Just make a One Point Jump if you have no idea where to play."

I just love the concept that there's something I can do when I have no idea what to do. Very seldom in life is there a tip like that; usually if you don't know what to do, you either ask someone for help, or you're left to do something completely random.

The bad news is, anyone who reads this and plays me at Go will automatically know when I'm baffled. Not that a good player wouldn't know anyway; ask w_b_yeats what I was like to play chess against. Didn't really have a chess eye, and by watching my eyes he could practically read my mind.

But this time, I have a default move, and that'll keep me from panicking.
