Someone on NPR just said that one fiber of asbestos in your lungs does cause lung cancer. Not 'can' or 'might' but 'does'. So how come the whole human race hasn't died off yet?

I am feeling a great anxiety, and a sudden sense of emptiness. I do not know whether it's sleep deprivation playing with my head, or other things or people playing with my head.
