A week ago at the grocery store, I saw a bag that said "CHITLINS" in big letters, and elsewhere on the label it called them "CHITTERLINGS". It puzzled me that someone would spell it out at this point, considering I didn't even know it was a contraction.

But Google research indicates:

• chitlins: 5,240 pages
• chitterlings: 5,360 pages

I just found someone from Phoenix in the Esperanto chat room. Turns out he knows at least 10 other speakers. Maybe there are meetings. And it might be of interest to littledevi if there are.
