Radio! Again!

Who here has an opinion of Tom Leykis?  People sometimes tell me I should listen to his radio show.

I suspect I'll get better results if you post your opinion before reading the comments others have posted.

I listened to him a bit on the way home from work the first week or two after the Zone turned into whatever the hell it is now. I found him occasionally interesting and insightful, but this was more than counterbalanced by his general obnoxiousness. I no longer have a button set to 101.5.

Same here except for the frequency, and the real reason I don't have a button set for 100.7 is because I don't have a car anymore.

I figure 101.5 would be worth keeping around for Adam Carolla. And who knows, one of these days they might put Penn's show on in this town.

About five years ago one of the New York classic radio stations switched over to an "all talk" format, meaning "all shock jocks" and filled its schedule with Opie & Anthony, and Tom Leykis, Ron & Fez, and Leslie Whatsherface The Radio Chick.

Tom's show was easily the worst of the bunch. It was removed from the lineup not too much later.

I'll be the lone dissenter and say I enjoy the show. He's abrasive and obnoxious, but I agree with him about 90% of the time. I love to hear him go off on some idiot who's screwing up his or her life. More often than not, he's doing the person a favor. I started listening to him when I was traveling to the LA area regularly and was pleased to hear him in Phoenix.
