You know how you get spam, and it says "THIS IS NOT A SCAM!" and it only reinforces your believe that it is?

Or when someone says "I'm not a stalker"?

Or other statements that people parse as if the word "not" weren't in there?

Is there a word for that?

But "protest" has a different connotation these days, and it sounds like "well, if I protested LESS?" etc.
