unbibiumPBS has been running "Do You Speak American?", a documentary series about regional dialects in the U.S. I hope I didn't miss too much of it -- I may end up buying the DVD set to make sure I have the whole thing.
This morning, TiVo caught the episode that dealt with the southern U.S., with soundings from country singers, Jeff Foxworthy, and several Presidents. The next episode should deal with my neighborhood -- the West Coast and the parts of the Southwest that lead to it.
