It's incredible often how often I hear the name "Wal-Mart" in stores that are not Wal-Mart.

I was at a salon once, and a family almost got haircuts and pedicures, but they noticed that it was more expensive than at Wal-Mart, so they left. Wal-Mart does pedicures?

I wonder why Wal-Mart doesn't just build apartment complexes on top of the store and do to real estate what they've been doing to the rest of the economy. Real estate certainly needs to have the piss taken out of it more than Vietnamese beauty salons do. And once everyone sells their house and car and moves in, they can build a big wall around themselves and declare themselves their own city. Like those Disney-run gated communities in Florida, only cheaper.

Just today I heard someone talking about Wal-Mart while they were shopping at Target. I was all, "this ain't Wal-Mart!" And then I bought a belt at the supermarket for $3.99 because all the belts Target had were for mega-fatties also they cost $14.99 and up.
