I think the main reason I value my job isn't the stability or the money -- rather, it's some misplaced sense of loyalty.

Date: 2005-05-21 03:36 am (UTC)I work hard at my current job, trying to meet their requirements even though my assignment ends in two and a half months, mainly because I have this self-image of myself... I want to remain loyal to that image. I have no loyalty to the company; I refuse to be loyal to fictitious entities, and I am only loyal to people when they've *earned* my loyalty.
so, are you really loyal to the company, or do you just want to think of yourself as a hard worker and man of your word?

Date: 2005-05-21 04:43 am (UTC)it takes a certain amount of courage to actively engage the unknown. i took six years trying to break out of my old company. too long.
i didn't have the resume or interview skills that i do now, tho. so if you want a second opinion there, you can always ask.
