May. 4th, 2005 10:35 pmSpeaking of comedy, I'm having a bit of a flashback moment.
I was watching Dennis Miller on CNBC, and after that "The World is Flat" guy came on, comedian Max Alexander appeared. And I recognize him from TV in the early 90's. I also remember most of his jokes from back then. Oh, DAM, Mothers Against Dyslexia. Clever.
Ever see a comic who hasn't updated his act in thirteen years ago? I'm going to publish a Joke Carbon Dating Guide, where I sit through Evening at the Improv reruns and track trends. I'm pretty sure that most jokes about dyslexia were written in the early 90's. Jokes about the "this is your brain on drugs" ad definitely were; Bill Hicks did a few before he died in 1994. So how did another comedian get away with it in 1998, opening for George Carlin in Vegas?
