I hear "threesome" way too often.

I don't see the appeal of it, and would probably turn down an opportunity for one.

This may have something to do with my recent discovery, that I'm not as good at multitasking as I once thought.

It may also have something to do with my disenchantment with the trend of sexual obfuscation.

I suppose it would depend on the makeup of the threesome, the orientations of those involved, the participants' approaches to sex and the ground rules of the situation. If we ignore a whole bunch of things that would prevent me from actually taking part in one in the real world, the only circumstances I'd be interested in such a thing would be with two bisexual women who were also into each other. That way, one woman and I could concentrate on the second woman, then second woman and I on the first, and then, when they're both pretty well satiated, they both work on me. That way, everyone gets as much pleasure as possible.

I think the people he hears it from way too often probably have no actual interest in the women's pleasure. They like to brag that they can handle two women, when they really need two women just to get it up.

I have a couple of people at work. Nobody who's participated, but people who have roommates who have, or people who have expressed an admiration for it.

Also, on television, it's treated like the Holy Grail... except on Loveline, where it's treated like an obvious sign that something's going horribly wrong, and abusive stepfathers are eventually mentioned.

Also, an old ICQ chyk-buddy has a photo site on MSN that I haven't unsubscribed from, and I found on that site a long diatribe on how horrible threesomes are even though she participates in them all the time. I haven't talked to her in five years, probably.

It's not, like, magical or anything. If you're thinking that it's the holy grail of sex or something, well...think of it this way. If there are two people you would like to get naked with and touch, there's nothing wrong with getting naked and touching them at the same time, if they, too, agree that they would like to, as well.

But for the sake of it? Why bother?
