unbibiumI got to watch the Joust and actually see what was going on, thanks to my great-grandfather's binoculars. Same with the Ded Bob Sho, and various and sundry novelty acts that peppered the festival.
I learned from people who have attended the festival repeatedly that the jousts and the Ded Bob Sho are, in general, identical from year to year. I suppose this means I can save time by going to the falconer's show next year, and not standing in the wings through a half-hour of Ded Bob, and this means I can explore the other curiosities that the festival have to offer.
And when I've seen all the shows, I can spend time flirting with cashiers and bullshitting with people in interesting costumes.
