For Christmas, my brother gave me all his NES stuff.

But it's one of those front-loading NES's with the fucked-up cartridge port.

Any idea how to properly fix it? Giving it a once-over surface cleaning with rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip did jack shit.

Maybe someone sells replacement cartridge ports?

Does it just blink the opening screen of whatever cart you have in or perhaps scramble all the video output? I think to fix that I a) gave the cartridges a once-over with alchol, and b) once inserting the cartridge, wedged a mathbook in the front and under the cartridge to lift it a slight bit before turning the system on. It's not perfect, but it worked most of the time.

Actually, it blinked blank blue screen before. Now it blinks the title screen if I'm lucky.
