Date: 2002-10-15 09:25 am (UTC)See, the emulator doesn't do any of the handshaking described in the RFC, so it doesn't negotiate local echo, character mode, etc. It's just raw sockets.
It's a pity, because the emulator uses the Telnet port, and doesn't let you configure it to anything else. And since port 23 is Cox-blocked, I had to download a special utility to tunnel it through port 1536, a number that is only significant to Atari people.
