I can remember where I was when I first saw someone beat Super Mario Bros. 2.

At my next door neighbor's house, the Martins.

There were a lot of people there, many from outside my usual circle of Nintendo players. These people were slightly older.

The Nintendo 8-bit was a great cultural phenomenon, and beating a game was a milestone.

I can remember people fighting their way to a -4 level and then screaming "not the strawberry shortcake faggot again!"

Toad got no respect until SMB2 came around, then everyone picked him whenever they wanted lots of coins.

Aaack! Speaking of the Purple Pieman,

The object was not to buy the game. I won.
