Jul. 12th, 2002 02:46 pmApparently, being featured on every morning "news" program in America last month wasn't enough hype for Coca-Cola. They had to make up a story about how the formula was "cracked".
I dunno. I preferred Super Greg.
I actually just checked supergreg.com and rubberburner.com. The first just redirects to Buddy Lee Dungarees, and the second is now the property of domain squatters. You can buy it for $16 if you like.

Coca-Cola is being marketed by hippy radicals in the sixties?
Besides, I know the true story. In 1986, Max Headroom brought OK Soda back from Twenty Minutes Into The Future, but it got hit by reverse tachyon particles that changed the flavor so it became "New Coke". Everyone hated it. So Max returned back to his timeline twenty minutes later, bringing the soda with him. What he didn't realize is that the tachyon particles messed with things again turning New Coke into Vanilla Coke, and Max Headroom into the Lawnmower Man. Since everyone still hated New Coke twenty minutes later (memories and attention spans were longer back in that dark decade) they still wouldn't drink it, not knowing it was MAGICAL VANILLA COKE that EVERYONE LOVES! Eventually, some children of Coca-Cola execs tried it last year on a dare and the rest is marketing history. Except for them having to make up a stupid story about the formula being cracked because no-one wants to know they are drinking sixteen-year-old New Coke, which is really fifteen-year-eleven-month-thirty-day-twenty-three-hour-and-forty-minutes-old OK Soda.
