In Phoenix, you pay $1 to board the bus and can get off at any time.

Makes more sense to me from a security standpoint; I wondered why people didn't just bail out of the back of the bus without paying in Seattle.

you now pay when you get on the bus. "What zone" zone 1 is seatlle it's free. Zone two is outliying areas. it's like a dollar. you prepay and get a ticket. zone three is across the lake and bfe. it's 2 dollars.
