I have a vague sense that there were a lot of buses and maybe even air travel in the beginning.

and I saw on TV some albino with long hair was going on Survivor...

I watched people play some version of Sim City where the city starts out with three large multi-story buildings and a massive array of roads, kind of as though you were building on top of a ghost town or a failed suburb.

I remember going into the game, expecting some NPC chat interface to the second building's occupants but then it was real and I had to explain that new building codes would be coming once I figured out the game, and I knew it was still a game and that if I decided to tell them to change from a Japanese to a Mexican restaurant, they would.

I dreamed of reuniting with some people in my past but all I did was ineptly watch them play a video game. I wonder who Mimi is? she was staring at me a lot, and was the only one present who hated me, as someone told me later, but she doesn't exist. She was blonde and had the hate face. Maybe my brain was trying to assure me that I'd know the hate face when I saw it. I said nothing to her. I made a joke or two and worried they might be inappropriate but nobody reacted badly.

then some weird museum-like corridor. it had the sense of being NASA, all the carpets were blue and nobody else would do that. I saw a dream-TV-clip that Michelle Obama let it ship that she's agnostic rather than Christian, though my dream didn't generate the shit storm that would have followed, or any public reaction actually. But it happened on video in the place I was walking through. It was then that someone from the previous segment came in and assured me that Mimi wouldn't be a problem.

Wal-Mart has a draining effect on me.

It reminds me of how poor our country is getting, and makes me wonder what will happen once we've converted all of our money into plastic crap from China, and the only way to make a living is to steal it, or invent a way for housing and medical care to be exported from China, or to move to China where the only remaining low-paying jobs are, or become a predatory banker where the only remaining high-paying jobs are...

Another thing...

Last night there's a monthly contradance. I wanted to go but I didn't have the nerve.

My throat's still a little screwy, but really, not so much that I couldn't have gone.

it was OK I guess, had a couple people over and we saw up.

but then we got into character design for an RPG someone's going to run and it went late into the night and I got cranky.

Somehow, the way I spend my weekend is frightfully important when the dread of Monday morning is looming over me.
