dark knight
Jul. 20th, 2008 12:46 amIt sucks that the part I want to complain about the most is the ending. Actually, everything I want to complain about is at least a minor spoiler.
There's something about this decade's comic book movies that really bothers me. I can't put my finger on it. It's how the philosophy ends up being both ambiguous and heavy-handed at the same time.
I liked it, but I didn't walk out of it with the sense of awe that everyone else seems to have. Possibly because of the ending. I know I was rapt at attention, or however the expression goes, through the whole two and a half hours.
Lots of guilty laughter at some of Joker's shenanigans. Especially at the very beginning. It was reminiscent of that Kids in the Hall sketch, and if you look at the tags, apparently I wasn't the only one.
