Jan. 7th, 2006 03:31 pmI want to mod my recliner.
First thing's repairs, I want to replace all the broken bolts on it, and try to correct this lopsided disposition it's acquired. It leans a few degrees to the left right now, even though I think I have the remaining bolts distributed more or less evenly.
Second thing's more repairs -- you can tell there used to be two little buttons holding the stuffing back a little, but have popped out. I'd like to replace them, but I imagine that involves either a temporary removal of the stuffing, or restraining the stuffing while sewing brand new buttons back in.
Third thing, I'd like to build and install a cup holder, and perhaps a remote control holster.
As I see it, my three options are: DIY, hire a professional, or hire an amateur.
Any amateurs out there have any experience with furniture repair and need some extra cash?
