The vacuum cleaner won't pick up the tiny fragments, it just rattles like a maniac and spits them back out.

Talked to that neighbor, and told him it happened 15 minutes after we talked. He says he didn't see anything. One of his friends asked if it might have been the landscapers, but my neighbor reminded him that it was in the evening. They didn't see anything either.

I still haven't heard from maintenance.

It's incredibly ironic that I should be so worried about my own well-being while the entire city of New Orleans is rejoining the Gulf of Mexico.
