Aug. 26th, 2005 09:22 pmBiked to the pasty place again. Third time in as many weeks. It's a good excuse for me to go on a long ride, even though I'm probably taking in more calories than I'm burning.
The atmosphere there is great. It's long and narrow so everyone's either at the bar or within earshot of it. The music is great, as they've got Sirius radio, but it's not overpowering, so you can chat with the cooks, or listen to them chat with each other. They're about the friendliest people I've met behind a bar.
One good feature of the bar itself is the hook from whence I can hang my helmet and bag. I can't help but think if it were a little bit lower, I could watch them make the pasties as if I were at a sushi bar.
Good thing I did it tonight and didn't wait for the weekend -- there's another heat advisory, indicating all those flowers do not, in fact, indicate an early autumn.
