It reminds me of a LAN party I went to where we played Quake 2, and I shared the Homer Simpson skin/model (available here) with everyone. It was a pretty good one, too. Despite the high polycount, it didn't slow down my cheap-by-1998-standards hardware much even when an apartment full of people were using it. The model had several skins, including the usual short-sleeve ensemble, the hunting/camping outfit, and underwear. Much like Simpsons Hit & Run. The WAV files got repetitive, but a map full of Homer corpses never gets old.
I never got into Quake 3, because I was broke and people kept playing Quake 2 until I got into other things. I wonder if Quake 3 has anything as unique as Catch the Chicken.
