This bittorrent stuff is unreal.

If I'm on eMule, and I want to download anything, it takes weeks to get all the pieces, even if twelve other people have the file I'm looking for.

And yet, somehow, when I try to download some 20-year-old documentary through a torrent, I find that I get it within a day, maybe less. And I get good upload speeds too, which means that someone out there is downloading this documentary through the same tracker at the exact same time I am.

I'd better enjoy this while I can, because things this good have a tendency to get ruined and disappear.

Yakov update?

Surely, Yakov Smirnoff must have heard about his legacy as a message board cliché by now. And he still performs in Branson. Do you think he mentions it in his act yet?

His website still has "DANGER: Explosive Laughter" warning signs. And the show description has a few paragraphs that turn blue when you move your mouse over them, for no perceptible reason.

Also, he's put up pictures of himself alongside three Republican Presidents. Well, he wasn't famous when Carter was in office, and Clinton's termwas between his "Cold War novelty" and "Branson family-style entertainer" phases. But you'd think they'd've stopped by.

My recliner is lopsided. It leans noticeably to the left.

I'm thinking of freecycling it and either getting a new one, or switching to that blue lounge chair that's comfortable enough and folds up.

If I gave away a lopsided recliner, would the recipient be offended?
