OK... I have until the end of the day to find two people whose opinions the JET program will respect, and convince them both to take valuable time over the weekend to write a letter of reference for me.

And I find I can't remember a lot of my college teachers' names.

In late June, I bought $75 worth of MVEE.

On November 14, the shareholders met and the stock did a 900-for-1 join.

But today, I can't find MVEE on any stock ticker.

Am I fucked?

In other news, Excite@Home is going down. Sorry, 45% of the country's cable modem users! You're all going to have to get a life and face reality this weekend!

Keep in mind, my cable modem is my only access to the Internet right now. I've almost never had problems before, so why would I spend my hard-earned money on a "spare" account? C|Net says it's not like they're going to flip the switch and leave us all in the dark, but, well, if they cancel the contracts, they very well could. But Cox has had a habit of being pretty non-lame as far as cable companies go, so maybe they'll figure something out.

But then again, I recall that time when Time/Warner and Disney had that slap-fight and there were reports that the cable companies stopped carrying ABC for a little while.
