There's a lull in my work.

Of course, I don't know what to do with it.

Buuut.... I'm sure I'll remember once I'm swamped again.

My grandmother may be dying. She's in the ER.

Pros to seeing her:

• Get to say goodbye.
• Get to face death.<
• Seeing me might give her strength.
• Might get off work early.
• Live up to my culture's ideal of not having any regrets.

Cons to seeing her:

• I have to see her hooked up to machines.
• She'd have to be seen hooked up to machines, probably without her wig.
• If she goes now, that's how I'd end up remembering her.
• Her immune system is weak, and I don't remember if I washed behind the ears this morning.

Anyway, my dad will pick me up from work if I want to go, and I'm sure I'd be able to. But I haven't had to deal with this before, and I'm scared.

If only I weren't at work now...

I walked to Sonic for lunch and called my mom on the cell phone and she said that my grandmother was a bit agitated and probably needs to calm down before taking more visitors. Also, I've had a sore throat since late last night, which is why the immune system thing was such a big deal. She's got pneumonia right now. Heck, so did Bob Hope, and there's no way Bob Hope is going to outlive my grandma!

I'll call again after work...

Spanish club homework procrastination

There is Spanish club again tonight. Our quasi-homework was to talk about something that made us smile this week, but I can't think of anything that I know how to say in Spanish.
