The problem with being a packrat is that your possessions overwhelm you.
You pick something up and say "I'm going to use this someday!" and put it back.
And doing that adds another line to your mental to-do list: "Use that thing so I can throw it away."
Multiply that by a thousand times and you'll approximate how I felt moving today. Add about twenty times saying "That's the FIRST THING I'll use when I get back!"
I was brave, though, I threw out many things.
