Does anyone else experience moments of doubt every time you leave the house?

I have a great time swing dancing, at least as it's happening, yet I don't find myself looking forward to it every week. The only thing that keeps me going is the faith that I'll be glad I went. And even though I'm rarely disappointed when I go swing dancing, and even though I seldom deeply enjoy the time I waste on the Internet, every week I still consider staying home, surfing the web and IMing.

In Europe, this won't be an option.

I do. Very often, i.e., before I go buy the paper. But the feeling stops once I leave my place.

i do all the time.

exact thing. it is almost like inertia - when i'm at rest, i tend to stay at rest. when i'm in motion, i tend to stay in motion. how i deal with it is to try and stay in motion, since i have more fun that way.

of course, i often double check that my truck is locked even though i did push down the lock button before i closed the door. i'm an idiot ;)

I check the car doors too. Also, used to do it even when my mother had a remote-locking Toyota.

There are worse habits. I'd definitely choose double-checking the locks over playing with my hair.

Um. I *do* play with my hair. (Mostly when I'm alone, though.)

I do it whenever I'm bored, nervous, whatever. In public, in private, whatever.
