could anything on The Daily Show possibly surprise you with its humorlessness?
Sorry, I liked the original incarnation of The Daily Show. It didn't always hit the mark, but it was always refreshingly dry. When they made Craig play to an audience, it turned into just another Weekend Update clone, and it put guests in the stupid position of having to compete with the host to show who's worse at live improv comedy.
I've really only been watching maybe two years. And Craig's not there anymore. And I really like Jon Stewart. So, yeah, I think it's a funny show.
Stossel was the one who was humorless; while I see your point, I don't know why anyone goes on a late-night talk show not prepared to banter with the host.
