It's not printine 38911 yet, but it's printing an ?OVERFLOW ERROR, so something's cooking.

there's an extra bit sneaking into the end of the mantissa...

Now it's properly printing the overflow error -- since the immediate mode flag wasn't set, it's printing ?OVERFLOW ERROR IN 0 now.

So it prints 0.
