I just had the brilliant idea to seal-a-meal the ingredients to the stuff I like to cook, so when I feel like cooking up something fresh I can just pull it out...

I wonder whether this will be better or worse than just cooking everything twice in a row and freezing the second one.

I once read a suggestion that you can take spice in the amounts you normally use, put them in ice cube trays filled with olive oil, and freeze them, storing the cubes in bags in the freezer. I seem to recall something about freezing single servings of uncooked vegetables in oil and storing them as well, to make cooking easy.
