so I spent my last birthday in Vancouver, and that was the last time I took a real vacation.

where to go next I wonder. Can I afford to go anywhere? Ordinarily yes, as I have enough slack in my bank account right now that I used to spend on vacations. But I'm not sure I wouldn't rather have an extra bit as an emergency fund, or sock it away for a down payment on a house, or a future get-the-hell-out-of-Phoenix fund.

I hear that Ireland is a great place to vacation.
