getting stuff done

unbibiumThe problem with procrastinating reveals itself mostly on those days when you finally get stuff done.
Yesterday, I finally looked up a new doctor, and managed to see one that very afternoon. Not only does it turn out that neither my shoulder nor my ankle are in any real danger, but also, the new doctor kicks ass. The waiting room is bigger, the TV was on CNN and not Montel Williams. The receptionists are more efficient and answer the phones without just dumping you on hold. They have an X-ray machine on site. My prescription was entered into a PDA and printed out at the front desk, so my pharmacist won't have to decipher handwriting. I ended up seeing a PA instead of an MD but I bet that's what always happens in our current medical system.
And, I got collapsing cage for the back of my bike. The saddle bags worked OK for the nine months or so I had it, but I lost it, and I had no way to move stuff around. Do I replace it for $55, get a better one for $100, or replace my rack with those giant metal baskets for $40? Well, I went to the Domenic's on Rural, and they attached a cage to my existing rack for $30. Now I can leave the house entirely empty-handed and just throw groceries into it.
I felt so much better, for a little while.
