Instant review: Zathura

I was expecting Jumanji in space. And that's exactly what it was, but without Robin Williams.

Fortunately, I like movies like that. I liked the original Jumanji, and Be Kind Rewind, and other such movies that go down like tiny cubes of cheddar cheese. I like a movie that doesn't have a totally worn-out premise.

I haven't seen Zathura, but I think that the not-without-faults Jon Favreau is a skilled director, his main skill being never overdoing it by trying to throw some stylish uniqueness that fubars the narrative.
