quick apartment hunt
Sep. 25th, 2007 09:56 pmI checked out two places in that sweet spot between the two offices.
Both are nicer, and both want to keep me there at least ten months. #1 is newer and nicer, but #2 tries harder.
#1 and #2 will both put me upstairs. #1 has a place on the 3rd floor, near the stairs. #2 has opportunities on the fourth and fifth floors, near the elevators, which will make it way easier to move into and out of.
Regarding bike security, #1 has bike racks that residents trust, though they're not close to where I'd live. At #2, I can put my bike on a 4F balcony where only Spider-Man could steal it.
#1 is similar to other Phoenix apartments I've seen, and some of the buildings look like the same architecture as my current complex. #2 is a five-story three-building courtyard complex that looks like it's from Chicago.
#1 wants me to move in October 15. #2 wants me to move in late October or early November, depending on whether I want to live on the fourth or fifth floor.
#1 has 83 more square feet than my current place and I've seen a model room. #2 has 67 less square feet, and I haven't seen a unit from the inside, but I talked to many random residents, and they're all happy.
Anyway, I'm going to go month-to-month at my current place. That doesn't mean I have to decide where I want to move right away, but it does more or less commit me to moving.
It's almost 10;30; I should start packing.

Is there no elevator in #1? Or just no elevator near the unit?
