Anyone familiar with orb?
Apparently it turns your PC into a Slingbox. You log into orb.com and it lets you stream music and videos from your computer. I installed it so I could use my Wii as a media center. And it works great; it even lets me watch shows I transferred out of my TiVo. I thought that stuff was DRM'd.
It's free, and I don't notice any ads. But I do have to sign up at the website, and log in through it.
So, what's the catch? Are they sending a copy of my catalog to the MPAA and RIAA?
And is there anything comparable that I can install on my local PC without having to connect through a third-party website?
There's got to be a catch. It's a pronounceable three-letter .COM domain name.
