FreeFM going away? They're running a stunt format called "Free Paris", where a flaming intern has locked himself in the studio and is playing nothing but Paris Hilton songs until they free Paris. yow. I keep hoping some radio station will buy the rights to KSTD's format from Lore Sjöberg.

But I thought Adam Carolla was doing OK in this town. And Tom Laryngitis has a fanatical brainwashed following, how could you give that up? Well, whatever.

Big O and Dukes has a 7-day countdown on their page, so I imagine they found work elsewhere quickly. They're professional radio padding, it seems. Nothing really notable, they just move into a new city, work 18 months as the token local show, and then move to the next ailing station.

I dare you to say that at the next THEM reconvene, in front of lots of THEM-Fem.

Leykis does have a lot of good points, but virtually all of his callers are either retarded or brainwashed, so I haven't really seen him win a fair fight rhetorically. Compare against Penn's old radio show, where he got really smart callers and ended up conceding points to many of them.

I really liked Frosty, Heidi, and Frank - the mid-day show. It's sad to see them go.
There is less and less to listen to these days. The Edge is really hit or miss for me. It goes through periods where I like everything they play, and times where it's all just garbage. So I poke at it, but usually end up just channel surfing or using my iPod. I should really just get a new stereo with actual iPod support and use it full-time, instead of the mediocre FM transmitter I have now.
