Super Bowl opportunities?
Feb. 3rd, 2007 12:48 amI think I've seen enough commercials, and I don't follow football. I can go to a Super Bowl party, but I wonder what opportunities I'm passing up.
Are there places that are usually crowded, but won't be, because of the big game?
Could I go to a bar with no TV, and find it full of lonely women, because all the men are watching the big game?
It's going to be a beautiful, 73-degree day outside. I wonder what else I could do...

Date: 2007-02-03 09:44 pm (UTC)Last year during the superbowl, I went to Costco, which was largely deserted. I've also been to the movies, which had about half the crowds as is usual for a Sunday afternoon.
Year before last, I think I baked bread all day. It was nice.

What they can't smell is that I don't want a cellphone either... or they just don't care, because they assume I want to have my mind changed, I just don't know that I want my mind changed yet. I have since learned to ward them off by walking around with a surly expression when I go to the mall. This is quite easy to accomplish, since I hate the mall.
