unbibiumIt's amazing that right after a spectacular depressive episode, I'll go into the world and have a really good social encounter.
Last night, I went to the store to buy some supplies, and upon entering the store, I had a ten-minute conversation with the security guard about my recent trip. He was very curoius about Japan, about what it cost and what the food was like.
Actually, the other examples of things like this happening seem to also happen shortly after my birthday. In 1999, the day after a particularly panicked 22nd birthday, I had a great conversation with a woman at a bus stop, where I also talked about travel and she told me about how the housecleaning business was so different in Phoenix than in Long Island. And in 2001, my drunk upstairs neighbor flew off the deep end the day after my birthday, but the day after that, I got to demonstrate to some girl at a smoothie stand about how I could distinguish DTMF tones by ear.
But I don't remember anything happening in 2000, and my LJ doesn't record anything of import in 2002.
