Sep. 24th, 2007 10:00 pmI did some research at the Phoenix and Tempe police department websites. Apparently, crime isn't as much of a problem as it seems. But most people I've asked agree, though: The Lakes is a way better neighborhood than my corner of Phoenix. And it's practically the same price.
The only real drawbacks to moving would be that I'd have to move, and I'd have a bus commute, and I'd probably have a long lease term, so I couldn't move across the street to the new office right when it opens.
So, here's the real question:
Would it be better for my character if I stayed here and faced the neighborhood for the next six months, and learned to shrug off these inconveniences? Or, conversely, might living in a better neighborhood make me feel like a new man, and jumpstart my life?
