Also, when I tried to weasel out of my T-Mobile contract a few years ago, they suggested I sell my phone to someone else and have them take over the contract. Now, if AT&T lets you do the same thing, and Apple lets you sell your iPhone to someone else, then nobody should ever have to pay that $175.
On the other hand, AT&T is the most evil communications company working in the US. And keep in mind, that means it's more evil than Verizon. Working Assets is trying to arrange a boycott of the iPhone, for that very reason, but they're pissing in the wind. Steve Jobs' reality distortion field is impenetrable.
