Brookstone? (unfiltered by accident)
Jun. 12th, 2007 11:49 amSouth Creek is changing its name to Brookstone at the Foothills. Apparently if we trick more prospective tenants into thinking we're in Ahwatukee, we'll get a better class of clientelle.
Construction is pretty much over. And when I asked the weekend manager about why there were so many vacant apartments near my place, she said "well, we're kicking a lot of people out." Perhaps a good omen, but then, my downstairs neighbors were OK. I'm not sure they needed to go.
What'll really suck is, if the rent goes through the roof right at the point where I start feeling comfortable living here again.
In other news, there's a house for sale in my neighborhood. They say they'll take the highest bid they accept by Sunday, and the house has a For Sale sign outside that looked like it said the highest bid so far is $117,500. Is the market really that slack right now?
