damn, I got a lot of VHS tapes.
There are tapes full of shows I rescued from TiVo heaven in my entertainment center, and tapes full of everything I watched on TV in the 1990's under my lamp, and tapes of everything my grandfather saw fit to point his camcorder at in a blue box in my closet, and a box of porn above the water heater.
If dumped to DVD-R, it would take up a fifth of the space, at the cost of thousands of hours of CPU time, and probably a hundred dollars worth of media.
I used to tape things obsessively because I thought I could share them. But now, nobody has time for video. Even YouTube is becoming tiresome to some people.
I'll let my loyal fans know if I have the courage to discard any decent quantity of videotape.
