I bought Okami today, as I've been getting sporadic recommendations.
I then learned why video games don't hold my interest anymore: long-ass cutscenes. I had to sit there for ten minutes watching an opening story slowly unfold. The dialogue slowly spelled itself out on the screen, and there was no way to speed it up.
That said, the game reminds me of all the footage I've been seeing of Super Mario Galaxy, because in that game you also have a little extradimensional cursor you can use to manipulate objects at a distance. It's just that in Okami, you have to hold down R1 to turn the screen into paper first.
Will I get my money's worth out of this one?
