Jun. 18th, 2006 10:45 amI attended a party where I knew a few people just a little. Somehow I managed to come out of my shell more often than a party where I've known some people for a long time.
Have I changed, or is this kind of environment more hospitable?
There was also definitely a much higher quotient of women than any other party I'd ever been to. Somehow they seemed friendlier, even. I can't quite explain why.
Also, there was dancing. Not DDR. Real dancing, with no computers involved. It's been a long time since I've seen that. It didn't start up until midnight.
That reminds me of another weird aspect: I didn't check my watch until it was 1:00 in the morning. Usually I get the wonder-if-I'm-out-too-late feeling long before then.
