Tonight, Alton Brown did a show on how to make your own energy bars, so as not to spend thousands of dollars on pre-packaged granola, Powerbars™, and Rice Krispies™ treats.

Good Eats has shown increasingly Pythonic tendencies, though they usually manifest themselves in subdued Gilliam-style animations in which photographs of Alton's head are pasted on and do that dislocated-jaw mouth animation. And there was one such scene in this one.

But, in addition to that, Alton appeared in a suit of armor, with a servant behind him banging coconuts together.

I suppose the coconuts qualify as a patent rather than a copyright, and thus expired mercifully in, what, 1991?

At the shadowcasting screening of Cannibal: the Musical. Great cheers from the audience.

Know what else I liked? When the "Indians" pointed out all the teepees, the cast threw rolls of toilet paper into the audience for us to volley around.
