It seems there are four ongoing sequences of Stargate going on at once.

On Sci-Fi, there's the Monday night marathons, the Monday through Friday reruns (which are about to cycle back to episode 1), and the first-run episodes on Friday nights.

And on channel 10, there's the syndicated run.

You'd think I'd be sick of the show by now. Actually I'm just dreading the season where Teal'c has this weird thing on his chin for no reason.

I just heard that spammers are using random tracts of Project Gutenberg in order to thwart Bayesian filters, in their neverending quest to make e-mail useless.

These are the stories that make me lose sleep, knowing that there are cabals of people out there who take everything that's good and shit on it, and they get away with it.

Same with Enron. No need to elaborate there.

And, SCO, charging licenses for work they didn't do, that they didn't even buy the rights to. At least there's a chance they'll get their asses handed to them in court, eventually, but I suspect a lot of its executives will have cashed out by then. And if they somehow win in court, then it's essentially retroactive slavery for ten years.

It seems that everything good we have is being chipped away at by selfish people.

So, how'd this happen: three months ago, I barely heard of Homestar Runner. Now I've seen everything on the site, and found so many easter eggs I can't remember how I found most of them. And I have about $75 in HR merchandise. Have I been hypnotized?

I've kept a Navigator tab open so I can listen to Homestar breaking up with Marzipan over and over.
